WHAT'S THE PATTERN ABOUT?
A sewing pattern to make a pair of lined house slippers. The upper part of each slipper has a curved shape, and crosses over with the heel part. For extra warmth, they are made with a layer of wadding inside all parts or an insole can be placed inside the lining before the final step. A great pattern for recycling an old pair of jeans.

 

SKILL LEVEL

Advanced beginner to Intermediate level (requires sewing through multiple layers of fabric and also sewing curved shapes)

ARE SEAM ALLOWANCES INCLUDED?
No, seam allowances are not inlcuded. Add a 10mm (or 1/2”) seam allowance around pattern pieces when cutting fabric.

WHAT SIZES CAN I MAKE? 
This pattern caters for UK Ladies shoe sizes 2-11
(US Ladies shoe sizes 4 – 13)
(EU Ladies Shoe sizes 35 – 44)

WHAT TYPE OF FABRIC SHOULD I USE?

  • Top Outer : Medium weight denim, linen or hard wearing woven fabric
  • Outer Sole : Non-slip fabric
  • Internal : light cotton wadding
  • Lining: medium weight cotton, jersey or polar fleece fabric

Optional: Inner sole

 

IMPORTANT: We strongly recommend you use a non-slip fabric or material for the soles of your shoes. 


HOW MUCH FABRIC WILL I NEED?
All sizes: 

  • 1/2 metre (1/2 yard) Outer Fabric
  • 1/4 metre (1/4 yard) non-slip Fabric
  • 1/2 metre (1/2 yard) Lining Fabric
  • 1/2 metre (1/2 yard) Internal wadding
